Bryan is in his 10th year as head coach of the Tigers. This is his 7th year coaching the varsity women. Before that he coached the varsity men where he was 1998 Washington Post All-Met Coach of the Year. Before coming to Wilson he coached and rowed at the University of Kansas, and he also rowed and coxed locally at West Potomac High School.
Bill returns as the varsity boys head coach for a second year.He started at Wilson in 2006, as an assistant boys coach under Linda Miller.Hailing from Penn State's College of Engineering, Bill is a structural engineer in the District.While at Penn State, he rowed and served as captain for the Nittany Lions.Bill enjoys training avidly for triathlons and coaching alongside his faithful launch companion, Puppi.
Elyse is in her 3rd year coaching the Novice Women. Elyse has rowed for the University of California (currently the two-time defending NCAA champions in Women's rowing) and the Mendota Rowing Club. Coach Lerum is also a science teacher at Alice Deal Junior High
Dick is in his 3rd year of coaching. He rowed at St. Andrews School and Columbia University as well as for Spuyten Duyvil Rowing Club and Potomac Boat Club. A parent of a former Wilson rower and husband of Heleny Cook, a Wilson English teacher.
One of Wilson's own - Nyala graduated as a captain of the women's rowing team in 1996 and moved on to graduate from Syracuse University as a captain of the women's varsity team there. Her coaching experience is rooted in the Syracuse Chargers Master's team.
