Fundraising for Wilson Crew 2008-2009
The Wilson Crew wreath sale is on. Rowers,
all wreath orders and funds are due to Sheila Evans by Sunday, November 23rd. Wreaths will be available for pick up at the Tabaku's house Tuesday, Dec 2 through Friday, Dec 5 after
6 pm in the evenings, and from 9 to noon on Sat. Dec. 6.
Rowers and parents please call or e-mail Lisa Tabaku at 202 722 2922, tabakurl@yahoo.com if available to help unload the truck on Tuesday, Dec. 2.
Packets were distributed at the Bash and at practice,
but for those of you who did not get them, Email smchurchill@worldnet.att.net and Susanne will send them. There is a general information form with all the important dates and information , an order
form and a receipt you can copy to leave with your clients. Wreaths are 22" wide, with a big red bow and are made
of Nova Scotia balsam fir.
This is the easiest fundraiser of the year. Wreaths are $20 and rowers will
receive $10 credit for each wreath they sell.
Varsity rowers - your fundraising
requirement for the year is $450 - so sell 45 wreaths and you are done for the year. Any additional wreaths you sell
will be credited in full to your away regatta fees.
Novice rowers - your fundraising
requirement for the year is $250 - so sell 25 wreaths and you are done for the year. And though not all novice
go to the away regattas, if you do get to go, any additional wreaths you sell will go to your away regatta costs.
Novice
parents - if you would like additional information - please e-mail Marc Pfeiffer or me. If your child plans to
row in the spring you should have them participate in this fundraiser.

top "boat" - the top 9 sellers - will win a Chipotle gift card.
The team - the boys vs. the
girls - that sells the most wreaths will win a "fun day" of practice....no ergs!

Special Events
The Boosters organize several events each year, including:
Boathouse Bash: Annual dinner and auction, held at the charming Potomac Boat Club in Georgetown.
Very casual, lots of fun. Live and silent auctions, great food and drink.
Restaurant Nights: About once a month an area restaurant hosts a benefit; we publicize these
events and encourage friends, family and teammates to attend. A portion of the proceeds are donated to the team.
Modell's Sporting Goods: Two times this year,
this store will give Wilson shoppers a 10% discount and donate a portion of sale proceeds to Wilson Crew. (First sale
in September and second sale in February before we go on the water, just in time to get cold weather gear.)

Gift Wrap: Gifts, gift wrap and gourmet goodies; now it's easier than ever -- it's online. Go to

Boosters, account number FL536749. 50% of sales come back to us. This can count as partr of your fundraising requirement.
Giftcards: Purchase these giftcards for grocery and many other shopping needs. A percentage of each purchase
is donated to Wilson Crew.
eScrip: The easiest fundraiser of all. By enrolling in this program a percentage of the
dollars you spend will come back to Wilson Crew. You must re-enroll every year. To enroll for the 2008-2009 school
year, sign up before November 1st. You may also sign up your SAFEWAY BONUS CARD and/or your DEBIT or CREDIT card(s).

cards. Macy's in the DC metro area and Giant will part of this program soon.
