This Fall, interested Freshman and Novice rowers are invited to join Wilson Crew's Learn to Scull. Run by our experienced coaches, the program is open to all DCPS high school students. Athletes will learn how to row in singles and doubles, participate in land workouts, and engage in team activities, all in a socially-distant environment.

Learn to Scull will be offered in a series of two-week programs, meeting four afternoons per week. Participation is capped at eight boys and eight girls per session, to ensure safety as well as focused attention from our coaching staff and ample time for on-the-water experience.
Wilson Crew is carefully following guidance and protocols laid out by USRowing, as well as local and federal regulations pertaining to COVID-19 safety measures, including ensuring athletes wear masks at all times except while on the water, equipment is regularly sanitized, and social distancing is maintained.
Program dates are as follows:
Additional schedule details can be found here. Cost per session is $250, with scholarships available. All practices are held at Thompson Boat Center. A swim test is required, however, athletes may wear a life vest or show documentation from another source (summer camp, swim team) to meet this requirement.
Wilson Crew's Learn to Scull program is a fantastic opportunity to get outside, be active, and engage with teammates in a safe way, while following guidelines from USRowing, DCSAA, Wilson High School, and the DC government on health and safety. We hope you'll join us on the water this Fall!
